What confidence is
I don’t understand the way people think.
Dude: You know what you need to do? You need to talk to girls more often. You need to go date girls.
Me: Why would I do something like that?
Dude: So that when you find the right girl, you’re ready.
Me: What the heck is that supposed to mean?
Dude: Look man, you need practice. You know what girls look for in a guy?
Me: Confidence. Your point?
Dude: Yeah so you need to practice talking to girls so that you can be confident when the right girl comes.
Me: Naw man that’s ridiculous. Look at the animal kingdom. Go look at the penguins, hippos, giraffes, dolphins, etc. They have mating rituals. They don’t go, “oh let me go practice first.”
Dude: Animals are different from humans. They operate on instinct. Humans do not. Females are completely irrational. You need practice talking to them.
Me: If females are irrational, then no amount of practice will do any good.
Dude: Yes it will.
Me: Look, you know what confidence is? Confidence is knowing that when the right girl comes, you won’t need any practice. That’s confidence. You, on the other hand, have no confidence. That’s why you need practice.
Seriously now. If you over “practice” then you become a sweet talking sly guy. Girls are not stupid. Only dumb girls like sweet talking sly guys. Lame guys attract lame girls. If you don’t want a lame girl, then don’t practice.
