Enough is enough

I’m moving the bulk of my Roth IRA money out of the US dollar. The US dollar is getting downright scary. I moved some of it to MERKX last Monday, I’m moving more this week, and I’m scheduled to move another chunk one month from now.

There is absolutely no point in holding US dollar denominated bonds of any maturity making 4-5% per year when the US dollar depreciates 10% in value in the same time frame.

The bulk of MERKX is Euros, Canadian Dollars, Swiss Francs, Australian dollars, and a few bars of Gold. I need to find a way to get my hands on some Chinese Yuan; it’s almost a virtual guarantee that the Chinese Yuan will appreciate vs. the US dollar.

And yes…ain’t this comical?

And no, I am not living on the edge; my money is stashed elsewhere. I did this just for fun. Maybe I should shoot for a penny next time.
