Advisor is impressed

The idea got the green light for the tape-out. The only thing now is whether anyone has thought of this before. The idea is very simple and it is just a logical progression of the art of analog design. Someone must have thought of it before and I probably have seen it somewhere but I have no recollection of seeing it. I can’t exactly search for papers about this idea because I don’t even know what it’s called.

This idea is either:

1. A dud.

2. Something that works in simulation but is a dud in practice.

3. Something that works well but only in certain situations.

4. Something so brilliant that will revolutionize low voltage analog design and will have its own chapter (not just a lame section of a chapter like 4.8) in a standard analog textbook.

I’m trying not to get too happy right now.
